A clearer recruiting process for international student-athletes
REKRUTME is an early-stage project building a structured connection between international student-athletes and U.S. college athletic programs.
The goal is not to replace coaches, admissions teams, credential evaluators, or athletes. It is to make the information behind recruiting easier to structure, compare, explain, and act on.
WHY REKRUTME
The problem is not a lack of information. It is a lack of structure.
Recruiting decisions combine academic, athletic, personal, program, timing, and financial factors. Those pieces are usually spread across different systems, documents, conversations, and assumptions.
ATHLETE SIDE
One athlete, many dimensions
A student-athlete may need to combine a national grading system, academic records, language or standardized tests, sport-specific performance data, achievements, study preferences, location, division preferences, and scholarship needs.
PROGRAM SIDE
One college, many different opportunities
A college may run many athletic programs. Each can have different coaches, recruiting priorities, performance expectations, academic requirements, timing, roster needs, and scholarship or financial-aid options.

01 / ATHLETE PROFILE
Structured around the whole athlete
Personal, Academics, Sports, and Preferences form the core profile. Original grades, test scores, events or positions, measurable performances, achievements, documents, and preferences remain distinct instead of being flattened into one vague profile.
02 / PROGRAM PROFILE
Model the opportunity that is actually recruiting
A program can describe its sport, events or positions, association and division, academic criteria, performance ranges, coaching context, recruiting priorities, scholarship or financial-aid information, and current recruiting status.
03 / EXPLAINABLE MATCHING
Separate requirements from weighted fit
The planned matching process distinguishes non-negotiable requirements from academic, athletic, preference, scholarship, program, and data-confidence factors. The aim is to explain why a result looks strong, weak, uncertain, or incomplete — not just output a score.
04 / CANDIDATE DISCOVERY
Discovery with athlete-controlled visibility
Authorized colleges, coaches, and recruiters are intended to search only profiles athletes have chosen to make discoverable. Sensitive documents should remain access-controlled and should never become part of a public athlete directory.
THE MATCHING TARGET
Match to a program, not just a university name.
The useful question is not simply “Which university fits?” It is “Which specific athletic program or recruitment opportunity may fit this athlete, at this point in time, and why?”
The academic environment belongs largely to the institution. The athletic opportunity, coaches, team needs, recruiting criteria, roster context, and available support often belong to a particular program. REKRUTME is designed around that distinction.

PRODUCT PRINCIPLES
Useful recommendations need visible reasoning and trustworthy data.
Explain the fit
Show the reasons behind a recommendation, including conflicting factors, thresholds, missing information, and the date or version of the underlying rules.
Preserve source data
Keep original grades, score reports, performances, units, dates, documents, and sources. A normalized value should not erase or silently replace the original record.
Treat confidence as part of the result
A recommendation based on incomplete, old, or unverified information should say so. Uncertainty should be visible instead of being hidden behind a precise-looking score.
Give athletes control
Profile visibility and access to sensitive documents should be explicit, limited, and auditable. A college should not automatically receive every piece of data an athlete has provided.
Keep external rules current
Eligibility, testing, association, program, and scholarship information can change. When those rules affect a result, the system should identify their source and date rather than treat old assumptions as permanent facts.

WHAT REKRUTME DOES NOT PROMISE
Decision support is not a guarantee.
REKRUTME does not guarantee admission, eligibility, coach contact, roster placement, or scholarship funding. It does not make final decisions on behalf of colleges, coaches, associations, credential evaluators, or student-athletes.
Any internal academic normalization is intended as an estimate for comparison. It is not an official GPA evaluation unless a recognized authority explicitly confirms it.

REKRUTME is in development.
The current focus is the public project foundation, athlete and program data structures, matching logic, explainability, source management, privacy controls, and preparation for a limited private pilot.
